Digital videos in schools offer a different learning experience for students. They consolidate and can enhance any learning experience. Students can also use this to reflect on their learning and find a new way to apply what they've learnt.
I find it can be related to Dimension One of the Dimenisons of Learning handbook. By using material that is authentic and real in society. If the students see that the topic they are studying is being looked at else where, the students will be more likely to engage with the learning experience.

I agree with what you are saying here Garrett. I also believe that using a You tube clip provides another leaning style for learners to learn from as some students may not learn by it being explained to them but may just click after they have watched it on a you tube click. Also students will probably find a youtube clip more engaging then lecture style learning
